Converting Files to Play on the Apple iPod
To play audio files on your Apple iPod, you can convert them to WAV or MP3 format using Digital Media Converter. To play video files on an iPod, you can convert them to the iPod format.
Once the files are converted, they are automatically added to Apple iTunes (version 6.0 or higher) if it is installed on your PC.
Convert Audio Files for iPod
Click on File >> Add Files. After the file(s) are added to the list, in the Add File Summary dialog, click on Convert. In the Output Format Settings >> Audio Format, select WAV or MP3 as the conversion format. Click on OK to start the conversion.
After the process is complete, the converted files will be saved in Documents in a folder named Converted. The files will be added to iTunes. Connect your iPod to the PC and synchronize it to transfer the converted files.
Convert Video Files for iPod
Click on File >> Add Files. After the file(s) are added to the list, in the Add File Summary dialog, click on Convert. In the Output Format Settings >> Video Format, select iPod as the conversion format. Click on OK to start the conversion. Connect your iPod to your computer so that iTunes can update it with the converted files.
