Video Caster: Controlling a Digital Video Camera

Controlling a Digital Video Camera

Use the Rewind, Play, Forward, Pause and Stop buttons to control an attached Digital Video (DV) camera.  The capture tool enables these controls only when:

  1. You connect a DV camera to your computer.
  2. You select the DV camera as the device you want to capture from.
  3. You switch the DV camera to VCR mode.

The capture tool also displays the Time code (represented as Hours, Minutes, Seconds and Frames) of the DV camera's current position.  You can use the Time code value to precisely position your DV camera when you want to import footage.
