My Screen Recorder Pro:

Controlling Windows Appearance

My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to change the Windows appearance before you begin the screen recording.  These settings are restored after the recording is completed.  Disabling these settings could result in much smoother screen recordings.  To change the appearance:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Settings.
  2. Select Performance tab.
  3. Check the Disable Windows graphics effects option if you do not want windows effects like animated menus to display while recording.
  4. Check the Disable the "Show window contents while dragging" option if you do not want the contents of a window to be visible while dragging a window.
  5. Check the Set plain desktop wallpaper option if you want to set a plain desktop while recording.
  6. Check the Disable screen saver while playback option to prevent the appearence of a screen saver while the recording is played back.
  7. Click OK.

Note: Set plain desktop wallpaper option is not available on Win98.
