My Screen Recorder Pro: Recording only Audio

Recording only Audio

My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to record only audio from the microphone or speakers and save it as a WMA file. This gives you the option of recording directly in a streaming audio format.

To record only audio:

  1. On the Tools menu, select Record Audio or on the Tools menu, click Settings. Check the Record audio option and uncheck the Record Video option. Click Ok and then press Record.
  2. On the welcome screen of the Record Audio Wizard, click Next.
  3. Select whether you want to record from the microphone or from speakers.
  4. Specify the audio device that you want to use for recording audio from the Recording devices box.
  5. Click Next.
  6. If you have selected to record from speakers, run Auto Select to select the best line for speaker recording. You can also specify the line to be used for speaker recording by using the Let me select the line for speaker recording.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the codec to be used for compressing the WMA file from the Codec name box.
  9. Select the Record format for recording the audio.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Specify a filename for the WMA file.
  12. Click Record to start the audio recording.
  13. You can use the Pause button to pause the recording.
  14. When you have finished recording audio, click Stop.
  15. If you want to listen to the playback of the recorded WMA file, click Play.
  16. Click Next.
  17. Click Finish.

Audio only recording does not directly started by clicking on the Record button in the toolbar, the Record option in the File menu or by right-clicking on My Screen Recorder Pro icon in the system tray. The Record Audio Wizard described above opens when you click any of these and you can begin the recording only from within this wizard, after you have configured the various audio setting.
