Video Caster: Making a Slideshow

Making a Slideshow

You can make slideshows in WMV streaming format and publish them to your website or FTP server.

To make a slideshow:

  1. On the main application interface, click on the Create a Video Slideshow from Your Photos and Publish option.  The Auto Slideshow dialog opens.
  2. Add and arrange the slides you want to include in the slideshow.
  3. Optionally, add text to the slides.
  4. Optionally, add music to play as the background score in the slideshow.
  5. Select a style for the slideshow, if you wish you can preview the slideshow before the slideshow is created.
  6. Click on the Make Slideshow button.
  7. In the Make Slideshow wizard, click the Browse button to specify the location where the output file will be saved.
  8. You can also specify the File Name and File Path of the slideshow.  If you do not give a name, the output filename is called MySlideshow (by default) with a number appended to the name each time you create a new slideshow.  Click Next.
  9. From the Profiles dropdown, select a streaming profile depending on how you plan to stream your slideshow.  You can view the Profile Properties for the selected profile.

  10. Click Next to start creating the slideshow.
  11. Click on the Cancel button if you wish to stop the make slideshow process.  After the process of making the slideshow is 100% complete, click on the Finish button.
  12. The Preview slideshow in default media player when done option is checked by default.  So the preview will begin as soon as you click Finish. If you don't want the preview after the slideshow is made, uncheck this option.
  13. After the Make Slideshow dialog closes, the Auto Slideshow dialog is completely visible.  Now click the Close button on this dialog.  Now you can publish your slideshow using the Publishing Wizard that opens.
