Auto FTP Manager: Conflict Resolution

Conflict Resolution: You can utilize this option only if you create an Automated Transfer profile.

If files with the same name are present in both the folders (Folder 1 and Folder 2), conflict resolution is required.  Auto FTP manager provides you with 5 conflict resolution options.

To configure Conflict Resolution go to:

New Profile Wizard > Automated Transfer > Conflict Resolution

Select either Folder 1 or Folder 2 under the If file is already present on option.  If there is a conflict, the file from the folder you have selected will be transferred to the other folder.  Determine how to proceed if this happens:

1. Overwrite: The file in the other folder will be deleted and replaced by the one in the selected folder.
2. Append Date and Time: The file will be transferred from the selected folder to the other folder.  It will be renamed in the other folder by appending the current date and time.
3. Skip: The file will not be transferred i.e. no action will take place.
4. Overwrite with newer: If the file in the selected folder is newer than the other, the older file in the other folder will be overwritten with this newer file.  Otherwise, no action will be taken.
5. Overwrite with larger: If the file in the selected folder is larger, Auto FTP Manager will overwrite the file in the other folder.  Otherwise, no action is taken.
