Digital Media Converter Pro: Configuring Files for Playing on Portable Devices

Configuring Files for Playing on Portable Devices

  1. After adding files to the list, click on the Tools menu and then Settings.
  2. Under General Settings, from the Convert To Format box, select WMV - For Portable Devices for Video or WMA - For Portable Devices (Audio Only) for audio.
  3. Select the Properties tab or Properties button.
  4. From the Video Profiles box for WMV, you can select Pocket PC Full Screen video, Pocket PC standard video, Pocket PC Widescreen Video, Portable Media Centre Device Video, Smartphone video, Zune Player Full Screen Video and Zune Player Widescreen Video.
  5. From the Audio Profiles box for WMA, you can select CD Quality Audio, Portable Media Centre Device Audio or Smartphone audio.
  6. From the list of available Bit Rates, select the ones that you want to include in the conversion. Read Selecting Bit Rate before selection. When more than one Bit Rate is selected then the converted video is a MBR video.
  7. Click OK.

Preserve ID3 Tags

    By default, Digital Media Converter Pro retains metadata (like the artist's name and the song title) from your source file. To avoid this uncheck the Preserve ID3 Tags [ file description details ] option.
